My dad would always randomly buy some new technology or other for the family amidst my mom's protests. His reasoning was that you have to keep up with the times, and I think he's got a point. Moreover, I have to make a living off of computer usage, and using a mouse for 10 hours a day, some times more definitely takes its toll on my hand.
I've been trying it out with the tutorials, and it's great so far. It's so much easier on my hand already since I don't have to click a button, I can just tap the point of the pen to the mat. Also, it's super thin! I remember these tablets being really bulky and unwieldy, but it appears to be about 1 cm thick. Stay tuned for awesome Photoshop adventures! (Or just selecting things from backgrounds ...)
