Charlottesville has let me down, big time. Defying its latitude, it has decided to dump > 2' of snow where there exists no snow moving infrastructure (what are snow plows?), hence why I am stuck here and not in Chicago. Lame. Apparently, Toronto doesn't even have any snow yet. Toronto, will you please take your snow back? But the snow does make table tops look like cupcakes.
Tina got so mired in traffic on her way home that she decided to allow the snow to calm down a bit before attempting to drive out. The lucky ones scrammed out Friday morning, basically.
Harris Teeter is still open though, which made me incredibly happy. So we baked cookies in the afternoon to have with tea as we watched the snow pile ever higher and just chilled out. Because honestly, what else could we do other than kick back and relax? It ended up being a nice day in the end.
You mean the snow doesn't remind you of home? ^_~ Stay warm!
